THE humble apple will be celebrated this weekend at a tourist attraction near Droitwich.
Hanbury Hall in School Road will swing open it's doors to the public to celebrate its first Apple Day.
On hand will be expert, John Edgley to talk about the popular fruit and apple trees, while identifying any varieties that visitors bring to him to look at.
Hanbury Hall has over 140 apple trees, including many traditional varieties such as Ashmeads Kernel and Howgate Wonder and over 20 varieties will be displayed on the day.
Other attractions will include a family apple trail and many apple - based foods in the tearoom made from the home-grown Hanbury apples. The event is from 11am to 3.30pm on Saturday, October 18.
