A RUGBY tournament to honour the Bali bomb victims, one-year on, moved 250 players to tears.
Droitwich man, 39-year-old Tom Holmes and fellow Worcestershire man 27-year-old Neil Bowler were among the 202 killed in the terrorist attack which happened a year ago this weekend, Saturday October 12, 2002.
Both victims were keen sportsmen, had taken jobs in the Far East and were on rugby team tours, celebrating that fateful evening.
Many touched by the attack, returned to the Indonesian island to pay their respects at the weekend.
The family of Tom Holmes suffered an agonising wait before finding out the fate of the Spa civil engineer. He was missing, presumed dead after the blast. But his family, said to have been philosophical about the situation, knew his Hong Kong Rugby team had been drinking in the Sari club at the time of the attack.
