THE sensational smell of spicy samosas wafted all over Bromsgrove as families flocked to make the traditional Indian snacks at a fun day last Saturday.
More than 200 people dropped by the recreation ground, outside ASDA, to join in with a host of exciting activities as part of Family Learning Weekend.
The event was organised by the Multi Agency Resource Centre, with the help of NEW College, Age Concern and Bromsgrove District Council.
Along with making samosas, families could also learn to play the bongos, paint and play their own didgeridoo and have a go at some Japanese paper crafts.
Creative visitors could try their hand at mendhi painting or make some handicrafts using a range of natural products with the help of Big Art for Little People.
Michael Carn, of the Charford community centre, said: "The day went really well. We were really pleased to attract so many people down to the recreation ground, of all ages." He said the aim of the event was to show people how exciting learning can be and that it does not have to be confined to a classroom.
