DISRUPTING injuries took their toll on Woodrush who were overpowered in the pack.
Paul Chance's men had gone 7-3 against their hosts early on, thanks to a Stuart Pearson try that was converted by Martin Leech.
But that was about where the good news ended for Woodrush who, with key players missing, were put on the backfoot for the remainder of the match.
Woodrush now have a week to get their players back in action with no fixture this week because of the England v South Africa World Cup showdown which he'll hope will give No.8 Nigel Smith and winger Ed Learner to recover from shoulder injuries.
Woodrush will welcome former England prop Jeff Probyn as their first guest speaker of the season at Friday night's club dinner (7pm). Tickets for the four-course meal are priced at £21 and available from chairman Cliff Wilford on 01527 526307.
