DEAR EDITOR - Thank you for including the recent article about the sponsored swim by Gordon Fry.
I am pleased to announce that all monies have now been collected and that the total raised by Gordon is £1,210. Through the medium of your newspaper I would like to express my thanks to all who sponsored Gordon in this event. Your publicity helped to increase people's awareness of Gordon's swim and helped to swell the amount of sponsorship.
Grateful thanks are also expressed to the manager and staff at the Dolphin Centre where the swim took place, for their assistance and support during the event. Also to the other swimmers that morning who encouraged Gordon both in the water and from the poolside later.
Finally, my personal appreciation to Gordon Fry for his endeavours both for the Salvation Army and the Kingdom of God. God bless you, Gordon.
