AN old cottage in Hunt End threatened with demolition may be saved.
Plans had been submitted to build a new house on the site of Millstream Cottage in Feckenham Road and were due to be discussed by Redditch Council's planning committee last night.
But the application looked set to be refused.
Neighbours opposed the demolition on the grounds the building was historically important and one of a line of old mills and cottages.
They felt all the cottages should have preservation orders placed on them.
Planning officers suggested councillors refuse the plan as a five-bedroom house on the site wouldharm the character of the area.
