DELICIOUSLY wicked gags delivered so fast and flawlessly revellers could barely draw breath, was the order of a night with comedian Jimmy Carr.
Carr is one of the brightest stars on the comedy circuit and I was lucky enough to catch him airing some of his newest material at The Glee Club in Birmingham last Wednesday night. And what an awesome response it got!
The prolific gag-smith was nothing short of excellent, with his witty one-liners delivered through his snide middle class persona.
As the show gathered momentum his rapport with the audience grew, as did the confidence of several cheeky hecklers. But he dealt with them expertly!
Carr, who has hosted the hilarious Channel Four show Your Face of Mine with June Sarpong, is a must see for anyone looking for fresh comedy talent. One of the best nights out I have enjoyed all year!
