THIEVES who stole frozen food from a Cookhill shed are being warned their health will be at risk if they eat their ill-gotten gains.
On Friday evening, thieves went onto a property in Evesham Road and almost emptied the contents of freezers which were stored in the shed.
But one of the freezers had been on the blink for about 11 days and meat products had defrosted and refrozen many times over.
The residents of the property, who did not want to be named, said: "When we realised they had stolen the contents of the faulty freezer, we were so concerned. It was only being stored there until we could have it all removed.
"We know they pinched this food but the guilty people may have children and we don't want them getting serious food poisoning from this meat."
The thieves are urged to throw the meat away immediately.
