POLICE are hunting three men, believed to be from Hereford, who may have been involved in a brawl between football fans which marred a non-league match.
Detectives have released CCTV pictures in a bid to trace the men suspected to have been involved in the violent clashes between fans which erupted during a match between Burton Albion and Hereford United, last month.
Nine men from Hereford have already been arrested and charged with violent disorder following the game, which took place on Friday, September 19.
A police investigation was launched following the incident, which occurred during half-time at the evening match.
Officers now want to speak to three men who were captured on video footage filmed during the match.
Det Sgt Darren Harding, of Staffordshire police, said: "We are keen to talk to these men, who we believe are Hereford fans, from the Hereford area, in relation to the events that Friday.
"We would urge anyone who knows these men to contact us.
"People can ring anonymously if they wish and all information will be treated in the strictest confidence."
Anyone with information should call Det Sgt Harding on 01785 234734, or anonymously on the Crimestoppers number, 0800 555 111.
