A KARAOKE competition is aiming to hit the high and low notes in Worcester by finding the city's best and worst singers.
Budding pop stars and seasoned crooners could soon be reaching chart-topping heights with the launch of Classic Hit's Search for a Star.
The radio station is holding a 13-week competition for the would-be performers at Chicago Rock Caf, in New Street, starting tomorrow.
The overall winner will clinch a day's recording session in a top studio and have their work put on CD.
There will also be spot prizes each evening for the singers who the judges think stand out the most.
"At the final we'll have the 12 best and 12 worst singers on show so there's no excuse for anyone not to have a go at singing," said Chris Jeffries, Classic Hits managing director.
"We've got hundreds of songs on offer from Buddy Holly to Misteeq, so we can cater to pretty much everyone's taste."
Anyone interested in belting out a tune, can pop into Chicago Rock from 7.30pm onwards, every Sunday.
