THE Sealed Knot will re-enact the Battle of Ripple in the village this weekend.
Prior to Sunday's event, members of the group will attend a service at Ripple Church in memory of its founder, Brigadier Peter Young, who lived in the village.
The day starts at 10.30am when infantry and cavalry will march from Ripple Village Hall to the church for the service. The procession will then head back to the village hall for lunch.
The re-enactment will begin at 2.15pm on Ripple Field. It is expected to last an hour and there will be a small fee to watch.
The original battle was part of the English Civil War and took place in 1643.
