OFFENHAM'S Mark Hampton again displayed his shooting talents at a two-day event at the South Wales Shooting Ground.
A full entry of 120 took part in the Welsh Olympic Trap Grand Prix - a final chance for the teenager to show he could compete with the best in the country at the last of this year's selection shoots for the Great Britain team.
Considered by many to be the hardest of all the trap disciplines, Hampton was again in fine form and recorded two scores of 94 for a total of 188/200, not only a junior selection score but two targets clear of the senior mark and fifth equal overall.
A three-man shoot-off was required to reach the six-man final with Hampton taking the sixth place on the line next to Olympic hopeful Ian Peel.
