Kim Hurst was the September speaker, telling of the years of pain and pleasure of building up a herb nursery in a neglected old garden and reclaiming land from the grass and brambles of the surrounding fields.
She is now a regular Chelsea Show exhibitor and members were keen to take home samples of her unusual plants for their own gardens.
