THOUSANDS of people visited a bigger and better Evesham Mop Fair in the town centre.
The weather for the traditional October Mop last weekend was good, which helped boost attendance, and the event was trouble-free.
The mayor and mayoress, Councillor Patrick Clifford and Mrs Jean Lowe, and members of the town council sampled some of the rides and stalls after the official opening.
"Thousands of people attended over the few days with Friday night being the busiest time, and everybody had a good time," said showman Edward Danter whose family run the event.
He added: "This year we brought in some new rides and also spread into the Vauxhall car park, and so the Mop was even bigger and better. It was good to see so many people supporting and enjoying the Mop."
