POLICE swooped to arrest three men in connection with recent burglaries carried out in Broadway.
Twenty police officers from Evesham, Worcester and West Midlands Constabulary were involved in the search and arrest operation co-ordinated in Warwickshire. Five addresses in the Woodend area of Coventry were searched during the operation.
Police believe that property recovered will, ultimately, help in solving the most recent burglary offences in Broadway. Two men are still being sought in connection with those.
Det Sgt Peter Andrews, who is based at Evesham and was in charge of the operation that led to the arrests, said: "This was a significant operation, carried out against offenders who are, clearly, prepared to travel some distance to commit burglary offences in our area.
"We have sent a clear message of intent and we have demonstrated that we have the ability, resources and resolve to strike back and we will continue to do so."
