THE Chief Constable for West Mercia, Paul West, is due to speak at the first annual meeting of the Rural Stress Support Network, at Great Witley, near Worcester, on Monday.
He will highlight the important role played by the police and the support of voluntary groups, like RSSN, in tackling the chronic problems caused by stress in rural area.
Key to the success of assisting the growing problems in rural areas is the Rural Safety Initiative, a shared ownership of problems brought together in the clear structure of the Rural Safety Initiative to achieve effective solutions.
Mr West said: "It will be a good opportunity to discuss the concept with people from rural communities across the region."
The meeting, at the Hundred House Hotel, Great Witley, starts at 2pm and all are welcome.
