GLEN Beaman scored the goal which gave Wyre Forest Brintons a share of the points in a 1-1 draw with Malvern Rangers in West Midlands League Division One South.
But Forest Brintons were hoping for a win after having to settle for a point with high-flying Hinton the previous week, despite leading 3-0.
The visitors, using the slope to their advantage in the first half, enjoyed much more of the play but only had a disallowed goal for their efforts.
The second half saw Malvern take the lead when Simon Brooks beat the advancing Darren Pace with a shot that only just crossed the line.
The deserved equaliser came when Beaman headed home from a Richard Costello corner.
Stuart Brogan, Neil Perks and Tom Wassell came on in a bid to snatch the winner but the game petered out into a draw.
Lee Jordan was credited with a hat-trick in the previous match with Hinton, rather than just two goals.
Forest Brintons players are asked to report to the ground at 12.45pm for Saturday's game with Bridgnorth Town Reserves.
