AFTER seeing the photograph of Lea Street School in the early 1920s in a recent edition of the Shuttle/Times and News, I sent the paper to Mrs Edna Nason, nee Smith, who now lives in Settle, and was the teacher in the picture
I have received her reply and she wrote: "It is nice to know I'm still remembered by some of the younger ones. To me they were happy days."
Mrs Nason was 101 last February, and is reasonably well, considering.
