CHRIS Hough gave Bewdley Town the perfect start to their West Midlands League Division One South visit to Tenbury with a goal after just eight seconds.
Hough let fly from 25 yards after Paul Edwards and Keith Elliot linked up from the kick-off.
The midfielder's goal set the pattern as Bewdley went on to win 4-1, moving up to third in the table.
The town added a second on 20 minutes when man-of-the-match Ben McLoughlan crossed from the right for Elliot to score.
There was a worry for Bewdley, who lost keeper Mark Jones with a knee injury. Tom Stewart moved back into goal from the left flank and Stuart Clarke entered the fray.
But Edwards added a third on 35 minutes, forcing the keeper into a save and netting the rebound following Hough's assist.
Tenbury grabbed a consolation before half-time but Bewdley capped their victory with Edwards' penalty on 75 minutes after the former Stourport player was fouled.
Gary Middleton and Paul Field are close to returning to the Bewdley side but last season's top scorer John Maffei is still three weeks away with a back injury.
