THE first act in a county school's two-week drama festival got under way with a positive message for the students.
Genesis Productions, a drama company from Wiltshire, brought its "interactive" Forum Theatre performance to Droitwich High School, in Briar Mill.
The scheme allows pupils to take turns on stage with the actors to see how they would handle the "pressure situations" that can confront teenagers in everyday life.
Year 9 students learnt how to deal with situations such as unwanted sexual advances, and pressure to drink alcohol.
"This was a great opportunity for our students," said the school's Margaret Brown.
