A FORMER Arrow Vale High School pupil has successfully completed the initial phase of training in her bid to become a warfare officer in the Royal Navy.
Emma Garey, 21, joined the navy in March 1999 in the electronic warfare specialisation.
She has travelled to the Middle East, South Africa and Europe during her career and began her course at Britannia Royal Naval College in January.
Emma's parents, Graham and Margaret, travelled to Dartmouth, Devon, for her passing out parade.
Sub-Lt Garey has now joined the Type 22 Frigate HMS Cheltenham for further fleet training.
