THE forum held its first open meeting on September 18 in the council chamber.
The attendance of about 40 was encouraging.
Chairman Douglas Ray introduced the officers to the public, summarised the activities of the forum since it started in February and outlined further areas of possible work.
He then introduced a representative of the new Pension Service, who gave an excellent insight into new pension top-ups.
She provided various Government leaflets regarding the changes.
The second speaker was the officer responsible for Redditch Borough Services for older people.
She gave an insight into what the council can provide and outlined some of the improvements under consideration.
Anyone wanting to contact the forum can ring honorary secretary Jack Cookson on 451124.
