A NEW memorial centrepiece is to be placed in the scattering area at Redditch Crematorium.
A sundial, which will be able to accommodate 24 memorial plaques, is to be installed.
A large area of wall at the back of the crematorium is also to be opened up for memorial plaques as space is currently running short inside the crematorium book room and floral area.
There are more than 400 plaques in those areas at the moment.
A spokesman said: "The memorial plaques are a popular feature for those who want to remember a loved one but we are currently running short of space.
"We thought a sundial in the middle of the scattering area would also be a nice feature."
The plaques will be offered on a 10 or 20-year lease.
