THE AGM on September 12 was well attended.
During the business part of the meeting, the treasurer reported the finances were healthy, a good sign of a thriving society.
Peter Frayer joined the committee. The new chairman is Pat Radford and new president Essillt Thomas. Reports were given of a busy year.
Speaker George Hook gave an interesting and informative talk on Mother of Pearl.
On Friday, October 10, Neville Land will talk about Family History while on November 7, Elonwy Wright will entertain members with The Music of South Wales.
Both meetings will be at 7.30pm at St Luke's Hall, Headless Cross.
The society is a friendly, busy and vibrant group for Welsh people and friends of Wales.
