I HAVE recently joined a class at the Redi Centre. From the first telephone inquiry to my arrival in the classroom, I was treated as someone special.
The tutor reflected the empathy and friendliness of the whole building, from the reception desk to the coffee shop staff.
Although only three weeks into my course, I've learned a lot, not just about the subject I'm studying but about people and how in a world that is constantly changing - not always for the better - it is refreshing to find a little oasis in a busy town where you can build your confidence, learn a skill and make friends who can change your life for the better.
The Redi Centre is a special place. Every town should have such a place. It is unique and cannot be replaced.
To many people it is their lifeline, especially those with small children who use the splendid crche.
I am sure you have heard the old saying, If it ain't broke, don't fix it.
