POLICE have warned women to be to be on their guard following a number of indecent assaults in Redditch over the past few days.

There have been four incidents and police are now investigating the possibility they could be linked.

The first incident happened at about 2pm last Monday, September 29, near to the Cricketers Arms pub in Beoley Road.

A woman walked past a man who was acting suspiciously, he then followed her and she felt threatened by him.

She then walked to two women who were standing nearby and he walked away.

An attack took place later the same day at about 5.55pm in Hewell Road, Batchley, near the swimming baths.

A woman was walking along the road when a man grabbed her, indecently assaulted her and threatened her after she challenged him.

The man was white, aged 16-18 and about 5ft 11ins tall.

He was wearing a cream baseball cap, a blue jacket with a cream stripe around the chest, dark trousers and trainers.

He also had "goofy" teeth.

The next attack happened at about 8am on Tuesday, September 30, when a woman was walking along Sillins Avenue.

As she was walking she noticed a man who, after a short time, grabbed her, indecently assaulted her and then walked away down a side street.

He was white, aged 17 -18, about 5ft 7ins-5ft 8ins tall, of stocky build. He had a round face and looked quite "babyish" with small dark eyes.

He was wearing a dark blue baseball cap, dark blue tracksuit bottoms with thin beige piping along the thigh area and dark blue tracksuit top with beige along the top. He was carrying a plastic carrier bag.

The fourth incident occurred on Bates Hill in the town centre at about 5.30pm on Thursday.

A woman was walking to her car when she was approached from behind by a man and then indecently assaulted.

He was white, aged in his late teens to early 20s and of medium build.

He was wearing a navy baseball cap, dark coloured tracksuit trousers and a light coloured tracksuit top. He was also carrying a white carrier bag.

Pc Kate Massey, who is investigating the assaults, said: "We do have concerns this man could go on to commit more serious offences.

"We need information to find out who he is in order to make sure no other women are targeted in this way.

"The latest incident occurred in daylight and at a busy time of day with lots of people going home. The description is quite detailed and some people will have seen this man hanging around.

"We want to warn women this man has committed this assault in the town centre so they can be on their guard.
