BROMSGROVE-born snooker star Stephen Lee has lost his first match of the new season.
World number five Lee, 29-years-old next week, was beaten by former world champion and BBC pundit John Parrott in the LG Cup in Preston on Monday.
Lee, a semi-finalist at the world championships in April, was edged out 5-4 after a final frame shoot-out.
Lee won the event two years ago.
