BUDDING young actors were in their element when they performed a play in front of parents and staff to celebrate the harvest festival.

Enthusiastic pupils from Tibberton First School, in Plough Road, put on a spellbinding performance of The King's Bath last Friday.

The play looked at the importance of water and followed on appropriately from the hot and dry summer the country has recently experienced.

The entire school took part in the performance, while the youngsters in the reception classes presented visiting preacher Phil Lowe with a cluster of gifts. Some also attended a service at St Peter's Church, in Tibberton, on Sunday.

Headteacher Heather Gratland said: "The youngsters thoroughly enjoyed themselves and were proud to take part in the play."
