RURAL scenes around Bromsgrove helped give a talented Lickey End artist ideas for a display of her work, which is now delighting visitors to the town's library.
Entitled Inspired by Nature, Anita Stevens's exhibition is set to run at the library in Stratford Road until the end of the month.
But Anita's skills are not confined to portraying idyllic country scenes on canvas.
One of her great joys is painting pets, preferably using her favourite medium pastels.
She said she finds the medium ideal to give the impression of texture to an animal's coat
"The pictures make an ideal, personal gift for a special occasion," she said.
"All I need is one or more clear photos to work from, although I do like to actually see the pet to get a idea of its individual characteristics."
