STOKE Prior will be the goal for scores of sports fans at a special auction.

Cash from the sports auction, organised by the Stoke Prior First School Association, will go towards purchasing computer equipment for pupils.

Among the 100 plus interesting and valuable lots to be sold on Thursday, October 16, will be a ball signed by snooker ace Jimmy White, shirts signed by three Olympians, including Matthew Pincent, and several autographed footballs and photos including ones of Ron Atkinson and England star Gary Neville.

One item sure to be much sought after is a superb presentation folder containing a photo of golf star Tiger Woods, which he has signed in gold.

The association is hoping the event will be as successful as the soccer sale they held 12 months ago which raised £700.

The auction will be held in Stoke Prior Sports and Country Club in Westonhall Road from 7.30pm. Doors open an hour before for viewing.

Association chairman Ken Symonds said. "We have items from most sports and more are being added to the list every day. A full list will be displayed in the school and regularly updated.

"People not able to be present on the night can still make a bid in writing by handing it into the school."
