Chris Cornelissen went over for the first points and he took a Jake Hudson pass to register his second.

Nuneaton scored in the second half after Bromsgrove's defence finally gave way. Cornelissen then took off on a trademark run, dodging the tackles, and completing his hat-trick.

Nuneaton scored three unanswered tries before Bromsgrove registered a score when Jack Dicker ran the length of the pitch. Nuneaton scored again before the break to lead 20-5.

Dicker reduced the deficit and then James Harborne played in Mike Leech for 15-20.

Nuneaton scored twice before the end.

Droitwich Spa RFC U9s 20 Old Hales U9s 15

Ben and Ed Burkes scored a try each in the first half, but Old Hales were level within ten minutes of the re-start.

Jo Piterway swiftly put Droitwich back in front, Old Hales equalised again, but good defence from Tom Evans and Alex Tonks kept the visitors out. Huw Selvey scored Droitwich's final try.

Man of the match was Ed Burkes.

Old Hales scored early in the first half and again five minutes later to lead 12-0 as Droitwich started slowly.

Chris Wade, playing his first game for the club, went over midway through the first half to reduce the gap to five points.

Droitwich pushed hard after the break, but conceded another try to trail 19-7.

Excellent work from Droitwich debut makers Richard Phillips, Harry Baille, David Taite and Callum Kinghorn allowed Droitwich to apply the pressure for man of the match Wade to run in two more tries. Bobbie Scott-Walker converted all three Droitwich tries to give them a two-point victory.
