BROMSGROVE Hockey Club Ladies Third XI made the perfect start to their new season with a 4-0 defeat of Bournville.
The side rose above rainy conditions with Lisa-Maree Surtees and Kirsteen Griffiths sharing the goals two apiece.
Player of the match was Sophie Fitton for her solid play at centre half.
