DROITWICH Spa Hockey Club Ladies Second XI began their new season with a comfortable 3-0 win against Cresconians.
Pat Hine opened the scoring early on, jabbing the ball home from close range. Spa dominated the game and had several chances to add to the score before Jackie Woodward extended the lead.
Prompted by player of the match Amy Corbett, Droitwich continued to press after the break and the forward partnership of teenagers Lucy Hine and Gemma Darbyshire caused Cresconians problems. Lucy Hine rifled home from the top of the D to complete the scoring.
