THE naming of pathways and cycle tracks in St Peter's, Worcester, should be completed by March, next year.
Around a third of the naming process has already taken place, which has cost St Peter's Parish council around £3,000.
The parish will be spending an estimated further £4,000 on completing the job, which will continue early in the New Year.
Emergency
Robert Jenkins, parish council clerk said it was important to name the pathways and cycleways, so that if there was an accident the emergency services would be able to locate where it happened.
"A few years ago, a woman was knocked over by a cyclist and the emergency services took extra time locating her because they couldn't find her," he said.
