PUPILS ploughed a path to their local church for a traditional harvest festival.
Youngsters from Hallow C of E Primary School, Hallow, Worcester, helped write the service at St Phillip's and St James' church, which was held last Thursday morning.
The theme of the service was fair trade and youngsters performed a drama, a parable and talked about the journey of the coffee bean from its growth to the kitchen table.
"The children really enjoyed themselves and learnt a lot," said Sue Foster-Agg, headteacher at the Main Road school.
"Some of them carried large amounts of water down the aisle to signify the amount of water children in Africa have to carry daily."
After the service, the vegetables and tins of food collected for the festival, were distributed to local elderly residents by the children's parents.
