IF a plot involves telescopes, amorous bachelors and eccentric electricians, it is likely to be a traditional British farce.
And that is what will be entertaining audiences at the Conquest, in Bromyard, when Once in a Blue Moon is performed by the town's in-house theatre company.
But Conquest Productions director Pamela Bluck says the play is simply a comedy, not a farce.
"There are people running in and out of doors and there's a bit of underwear humour but it's not farcical," said Pamela.
The company will be performing John Dole's 1970s work from Wednesday to Saturday, with performances at 8pm.
The tale tells of strange happenings during a lunar eclipse with affairs of the heart mixed with an undernourished electrician who causes not a little mayhem.
Tickets are £7, concs £6, from the Conquest on 01885 488575.
