THERE'S a revolution going on in the world of men's hairdressing. Gone are the days when men just nipped into the barber's for a short back and sides - today's men care about how they look.

However, many men do find going into a salon intimidating because of the mainly female ambience, however unisex they intend to be.

Not any more in Kidderminster, with the arrival of MV Men in the town's Oxford Street. MV Men is a salon created for men and based around men, where customers can get cool, trendy haircuts.

While they wait, customers can try out the latest games on the salon's PlayStation 2 and enjoy the latest sounds, sports and music TV - while downing a beer which is kept chilled in the salon's fridge.

Once customers place themselves in the hands of the top-class stylists, they can relax and enjoy themselves with a unique and individual cut or colour.

If customers haven't already indulged in a beer, MV Men offers other refreshments such as coffee, tea, hot chocolate and juices.

MV Men also offers an appointment system, alongside the walk-in system, but it is all part of MV's ethos of being more than just a barber's.

MV Men is open Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays 9am until 8.30pm. Fridays from 9am until 7pm and Saturdays 8am until 5pm.

Telephone 01562 744700 for an appointment or just walk in.

The team is both dedicated and highly motivated, committed to progressing their work and making clients look and feel fantastic.

MV is about fashion, ideas, work progression and team work and most importantly, what clients want.

The Shuttle/Times and News has joined with the owners of MV Men to offer a chance to win six months' of free hairstyling, worth £120. The prize also includes a free consultation and grooming bag.

To be in with a chance of winning, all you have to do is answer the following question by the closing date of Friday, October 17:

Where is the new MV Men salon?
