SINGING builders, the complete history of the 20th Century, apartheid, music, ethnic cleansing and Mars are all subjects touched on at the Courtyard arts centre, Hereford, this coming week.

On Sunday Cheek, a comic musical about six singing builders, comes to the stage, featuring performers described as the Tap Dogs of the demolition world.

Tuesday sees Virginia McKenna, Derek Waring, Amanda Waring and David Simeon in Twentieth Century Revue, a whistle-stop tour of the last 100 years.

Out of Bounds on Wednesday tells the story of an Indian family growing up in South Africa during and after apartheid.

From Thursday to Saturday, October 18, The Diary of Anne Frank is bought to life in a Courtyard production.

Stargazer Patrick Moore will be giving a lecture on Mars on Sunday, October 12, in which he will outline his vision of two different species of mankind.
