ADAM Webster believes positive thinking can propel Worcester City to victory at Nuneaton Borough tomorrow.

And the striker is urging his team-mates to show just how good they are in round two of the rivals' double-header at Manor Park.

Alan Lewer's side claimed first blood with last weeks 1-0 win but Webster is bristling with determination to avenge FA Cup misery with success in tomorrow's Dr Martens Premier Division's top of the table clash.

The young forward is under no illusions about the difficulty of the task but has total confidence in City to take something from the game.

"Nuneaton are a big, physical side and well-organised but as our first half showed we can get something out of the game," said Webster.

"They hit the post but I think we created better chances."

"I think we just have to concentrate on ourselves and play to the best of our abilities and not worry who we are playing," he added.

"We need to go into each match in the frame of mind that we are better than everybody."

To do that Webster feels they must put in a full 90 minutes and not surrender the initiative as they did in last week's cup tie.

"We need to demonstrate the same determination that we showed in the first half last week," he said.

"I can't really say the same for the second half because we didn't come out, I certainly didn't come out.

"If anything we will be even more determined to win because of last week.

"People say the league is more important than the FA Cup but I think they are equally important.

"At training on Monday all the lads were really keen to make amends and that's the feeling we're going there with. If we can approach it in a positive manner we can get something out of the match."

Webster is relishing his return to the front line alongside Leon Kelly after a spell in midfield to accommodate Mark Owen in attack and is eager to hit the goal trail once again.

"That is why I was brought to the club but I enjoyed myself in midfield and as I've said before I just want to play in the starting 11," he said

"But it's always nice to play in your preferred role and I just need to get my brain switched on to scoring goals rather than creating them."

Meanwhile Nuneaton boss Lewer has played down talk of his undefeated side being considered title favourites.

"I think they all want to shoot you down when you get labelled title favourites, but I don't know where they get that from," he said. "I suppose it's because we've come down but we've had our budget cut in half.

"I don't think we are title favourites and if there was anybody it would be Weymouth. Steve Claridge shouldn't be playing at this level, he's too good and will finish top scorer in this division by a mile."

City's reserves have no game tomorrow but the club has nine representatives in Worcestershire's FA County Youth Cup squad to play Surrey at St George's Lane (2.30).

FORMCAST: A 0-0 draw.
