EXPRESS 88 visited Archdales in this Sunday Division One fixture welcoming back strikers Robbie Perrins and Lee Hooper.

ARCHDALES RESERVES 0, EXPRESS 88 6

It was Express who looked most likely to score early on and did so when Neil bond's 18 yard shot was deflected into the top right hand corner of the net. Within minutes the lead was extended when good work from Rob Kelly on the right saw him cross to Perrins who finished well from close range.

A careless goal kick saw Express go three up when Hooper intercepted and beat two defenders before firing low into the net.

The second half saw Archdales determined to reduce the deficit however, the solid defence of Finch, Hadley, Bottomley and captain Stu Summers kept them at bay. Express resumed their goal scoring form when a long ball from keeper Dave White found Hooper, who controlled well then found Perrins, who side-footed the ball home for his second and Express' fourth.

A fifth goal was scored when Mark Taylor played a through ball to Hooper who again took on the defence and unselfishly rolled the ball across to Perrins who fired in from six yards for his well deserved hat-trick.

Sean Clarke and Nick Dauncy worked tirelessly in midfield and Clarke was unfortunate not to get his name on the score sheet. It was Clarke who set Hooper free who then went on to score a sixth Express goal for a fine win.

On Sunday Express 88 are at home to Pinvin United. Players meet 9.45am at Victoria Park.
