MALVERN Ladies entertained Worcester City in a league game at Victoria Park on Sunday.

MALVERN LADIES 5, WORCESTER CITY LADIES 1

The match started with both sides doing plenty of attacking, but the most chances fell to Worcester and only three outstanding saves by Malvern keeper Jenny Shail kept them out.

In the 34th minute a through ball from Emily Prosser found ex-Worcester City player Nat Holmes who finished from eight yards giving Malvern a 1-0 half-time lead.

Two minutes into the second half the scores were level when a Worcester striker fired home from 16 yards. This sparked Malvern into action and the home team took control of the game.

In the 55th minute a through ball from Tracey Evans found Polly Bounds who ran 30 yards and calmly slotted in from an acute angle.

Three minutes later Polly Bounds got her second and Malvern's third with a powerfully hit shot through the keeper's legs.

Malvern's defence stood firm and limited the visitors attack to very few chances. In the 73rd minute a corner from the left was flicked home by Becky Crack making it 4-1 to Malvern.

The scoring was finished off by Polly Bounds who beat three players and curled the ball into the top corner. Jenny Shail and Polly Bounds both had very good games for Malvern and Malvern's defence were very dominant in the second half.
