A HANLEY Swan woman is doing her bit to raise funds for the refurbishment of the village hall.
The hall, which was built after the Second World War, urgently needs a new kitchen and toilets and fundraising is now underway by the village hall committee.
June Firkins, a member of the committee, is in the process of designing a teacloth using photographs and postcards that depict village scenes and landmarks.
Mrs Firkins designed a similar teacloth two years ago and £1,000 was raised from sales.
The teacloth, which will go on sale at local events in the next few months, will cost £3, of which £1 will go directly to the village hall fund.
