ENERGETIC pupils at a Worcester school hope to have amassed thousands of pounds for books and classroom equipment with a sponsored bounce.
All 280 children at Warndon Junior School in Edgeworth Close, took part in the event to help raise vital funds for their own education.
Although the total has not yet been counted, most pupils raised at least £10 but others collected up to £70.
"The children have done so many charity events for other people it was nice for them to help themselves for a change," said deputy head Simon Tranter.
"It was a fantastic day and everyone thoroughly enjoyed it.
"It will get even better when the pupils see the benefit from the money they raised.
The children took it in turns on the bouncy castle which was hired from city firm Bouncy Castles of Worcester, in Cranham Drive.
