A WORCESTER beauty salon is celebrating after one of its therapists was named Beauty Therapist of the Year.
Jo Lupson, aged 26, from St John's, was awarded the accolade by Guinot, the French skincare company, after impressing her clients at Beautique, in Friar Street, with her expertise and caring approach.
She also impressed Guinot with her organisational skills and repeat business record.
Miss Lupson, who was named Student of the Year two years running while studying beauty at NEW College, in Bromsgrove, has worked at Beautique for a total of six years.
She worked for owner Anita Cooper for four years, before heading off to work in Cyprus. Upon her return to this country, she returned to Beautique as manager, where she has been for 18 months.
The salon was also awarded Crown Salon status by Guinot for its customer care and professionalism, an accolade only granted to 51 salons out of 2,000 in the UK.
Miss Lupson will be whisked off to Paris with a friend for a two-night luxury break with £1,000 spending money as her prize.
"It's been fantastic," she said.
"I've had loads of lovely cards and champagne from my clients. I feel like a celebrity!"
