KINGSPAN Insulation is transforming a brownfield site on the Shobdon Airfield Industrial Estate, near Pembridge, Herefordshire.
The building is the former home of Torvale Building Products. The revitalised building, due to be completed by the end of the year, will house Kingspan Insulation's head office and will feature many of Kingspan's own energy-efficient insulation products, including the innovative Kingspan TEK Building System.
"We take pride in the fact that all our expansion has taken place within an existing industrial site and not a greenfield site," said John Garbutt, marketing manager.
"From a conservationist and environmentalist point of view, it is much better to reuse an existing site."
The company has expanded rapidly, becoming the world's largest manufacturing site for high-performance insulation.
It now employs about 300 people with a further 60 new jobs due to be created next year.
