THE Red Cross is holding its first open day on Saturday in a bid to attract fresh volunteers to the under-pressure charity.
The Kidderminster group - which is just six-strong - is looking for more people to help out at a variety of sporting and social events.
"We do a number of duties every year and it's the same people doing the duties every time. We want to spread it out a bit," said open day organiser Louise Birch.
Up to five of the Red Cross members provide medical cover at about one event a month.
The open day starts at the Red Cross centre in Park Street, Kidderminster, at 11am. Medical demonstrations and refreshments will feature.
For further information contact Miss Birch on 07952 130083.
