THE manager of the Bengal Lancer restaurant in Kidderminster was attacked at night by a woman as he stood outside his premises.
Bodrul Mustafa was racially abused and struck several times in the face and head, said Zaheer Afzal, prosecuting at Worcester Crown Court.
He received hospital treatment after the assault in August last year and was still suffering pain in his shoulder six months later.
Mother Emma Blundell, 21, of York Court, Kidderminster, was jailed for four months after admitting racially aggravated assault causing actual bodily harm.
Mr Mustafa was attacked after going out for a cigarette, said Mr Afzal. He was talking to a friend who had stopped while driving by.
The severity of the attack forced Mr Afzal to get into the car and Blundell followed it up the street making gestures.
She was traced to The Peacock pub nearby and claimed she had been there all evening but was eventually picked out on an identification parade. The court heard she was given a conditional discharge in March this year for assaults on two police officers.
Tim Harrington, defending, said she was ashamed of her abhorrent and shameful behaviour. She had led a tragic life and suffered from clinical depression since 1998.
