Brian Draper opened the Wyre Forest and District Centre's new season of indoor meetings on September 16 with a talk on A Wanderer in the Scottish Highlands. Making a return visit to the centre, Mr Draper took his audience on an illustrated tour of the Scottish Highlands, referring to the number of whistle-stop coach tours operating in that country.

He encouraged the audience to visit Scotland and explore the numerous areas of outstanding natural beauty, saying that the dramatic scenery of the highlands and islands is unique.

He described the varied wildlife to be seen, including red squirrels, golden eagles and ospreys.
