DROITWICH High School won the girls' competition at the West Midlands Army Sevens, held at Droitwich Rugby Club.
The team, who had the shortest distance to travel of all the participating schools, beat Bishop of Hereford School by seven tries to five in the final of the competition, played under TAG rules.
St Joseph's College from Stoke won the boys' event with a 26-14 success over Ludlow School.
More than 180 boys and 120 girls, all U16s, took part after progressing through county qualifying tournaments including in Worcestershire and Herefordshire.
The tournament was expanded this year to include schools throughout the West Midlands.
