STOURPORT boss Dave Titterton is hoping to persuade Stewart Hadley into a swift about-turn on his decision to retire.

The 29-year-old Worcester City striker decided to hang up his boots this week, but Titterton admits he would love to bring the forward to the Swifts.

"I just want to see how the land lies with him and see what he wants to do," said Titterton.

"I don't know the lad but his ability is undoubted. He may think enough is enough, but 29 is no age to retire.

"I'm only 32 and I wish I had a couple of years left but unfortunately eight operations and two knee reconstructions put paid to that."

Hadley has already attracted interest from a host of clubs, including Merthyr Tydfil in the Dr Martens Premier Division.
